How to make St David's Day 'Cawl'

Ok, so this is my own 'take' on the traditional Welsh Cawl. It has all the reqular ingredients that a cawl should have but I varied the quantities and added a few extra things to the recipe I found.

Serves 8

600g Diced Lamb
3 carrots peeled and diced thickly
4 potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
2 leeks sliced
1 small suede or half a large cut into chunks
1 cup of barley
1 tbs gravy granules
1 chicken stock cube
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper to taste

Prepare all the veg as stated. Fill a large slow cooker/pot half way with water. Toss all ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or 4 on high.

Serve with a warm crusty roll and a chunk of cheese.

Enjoy. Nom nom
