Blists Hill Christmas Weekend

Blists Hill is one of the largest Victorian towns in Britain. It's a brilliant day out and we've been there on many occasions. On the weekend, I decided to take the children out for the day to visit the site during it's special Victorian Christmas experience.

While it cost a bit extra to what we would normally pay, I must say we did have a lovely time and the atmosphere was truly magical.

Waiting to visit Father Christmas...

We went to visit Rudolf and his friends -

And had a little donkey ride -

Throughout the day there were several shows running, including a Punch and Judy shows which the kiddies thoroughly enjoyed -

I was glad to see there were a few activities included in the price of entry, such as candle dipping and card printing -

The decorations around the town were truly beautiful and had both me the children captivated.

It was a lovely day out (though we were frozen by the end of the day). It almost felt as if we'd jumped into the Christmas Carol tale.
